God is raising up a mighty army of prayer warriors. Prayer warriors that will come before Him with clean hands, a pure heart, a soul that has not been lifted up to an idle and a tongue that is not deceitful. This prayer army will be anointed with a mantle of intercession. A people prepared for battle in the heavenlies.
There is no power like that of prevailing prayer – of Abraham pleading for Sodom, Jacob wrestling in the night, Moses standing in the breach, Hannah intoxicated with sorrow, David heartbroken with remorse, Jesus in the sweat of blood. Add to this list from the records of the church your personal observation and experience, and always there is a cost of passion unto blood. Such prayer prevails. It brings power, it brings fire, it brings rain, it brings life, it brings God. Samuel Chadwick.
Elijah was a man who knew how to pray. He pressed into the realm of the Spirit and was divinely energized for a battle in the heavenlies.
As you pray and purpose to press into God, your prayers will ascend up before God, and they will be a sweet-smelling savor in His nostrils. As a result of your these prayers, God will commission warrior angels to destroy the works and strongholds of rulers, powers and principalities that have established territory over nations, cities, families, and individuals. God will open your understanding in the spirit realm and reveal to you the strategy and secrets of the enemy. Armed with this knowledge, you will be prepared to take your position of authority in the heavenlies and declare the prophetic prayer of Jesus, speaking His judgments over the works of darkness and declaring His victories in the time of battle.
This mighty prophetic army of intercessors that God is raising up will be led and directed by His almighty Hand. He will cause these intercessors to pray the prayer of Heaven. As an army of warriors we are called to hear the sound of heaven and pray the prayers that Christ and the Holy Spirit are praying.
You are called of the Lord and sent fourth by His Holy Spirit to cover families, cities, countries and nations in prayer. This calling is to come very low before the Father and cry out to Him to establish His Peace into the circumstances of life. This requires a full submission of your will as you hear the cry and prayer of Heaven.
You must have an understanding of prayer and intercession. The old ways of praying simply will not work in the war that we will under take, and the victories that we will win.
God is saying,
“We need to hear the sound of the cries in Heaven. Listen to the prayers of Christ and the burdens of the Holy Spirit. Come lay down your needs at My feet and seek My Face, then all these things will be added to you. Draw aside and listen to the desires of My heart. Come and pray My prayer, and you will see the things that will be done on earth. Victories upon victories are yours as you yield to my Spirit and pray My will. My will is to give you the desires of your heart as you submit to My will and My way.”
While sitting in my office one day I realized that the prayers I prayed did not rise to heaven. It often seemed as though the prayers I would pray, simply would resound in my ears as a begging to God to please hear me and vindicate me from the situation. So many people seem to face this dilemma in their prayer time. I cried out to God and said things like “God, I know you are no respecter of persons. That is what your Word says. Then how come, Elijah who was a man just like us and prayed that it will not rain and then it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Then when I call out to You for things I do not seem to get the same results. Lord please come and show me how to get this prayer thing right. I mean Lord, I can gather for three or four people as your Word says and get them to come into agreement with me and pray, and we still don’t seem to have the results of Elijah.
Lord teach me to pray the prayer of Heaven. ” James 5;17 reads; “Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.” And another translation reads, “Elijah was a man of like passions with us, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain; and it rained not on the earth for three years and six months. ” Note the two words here, earnestly and fervently. The secret of Elijah’s was that he prayed earnestly and fervently. The definition of earnestly and fervently means: Earnestly means; “With everything within.” Fervently means; “Effective, continual bubbling, boiling, fervent.”
Get some fire back into your prayers and become passionate when you pray. Then you will see God perform miracles on your behalf as you submit to His will. It is my firm conviction that Elijah was totally submitted to the will of God and believed what he prayed for. That is why Elijah’s prayers where answered.
You can have every prayer answered.
1 John 5:14-15 “This is the confidence we have in approaching God; that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have what we asked of Him.”
What you need is to have confidence. My challenge is that I sometimes come to the place that I do not have confidence in myself or in the prayers that I pray. It is then that I need to make a decision with my head and by faith (despite my emotions arguing with me) that I will approach God with confidence. Confidence in the fact that he loves me so much that He sent His Son to die for me. With this confidence, I approach His throne boldly. In approaching God with confidence, despite my emotions and logic, I then submit to His will before I bring my prayers and requests to Him. Only after submitting to Him and finding out what His perspective is in regard to my prayer needs, then do I start praying. The prayers that I pray, is the direction of the prayers of the Holy Spirit and the same prayers that Christ is praying. This is effective prayer.
Effective prayer, is to gain revelation from God that is relative to the prayer request.
Knowing that what I pray has the blessing of God on it, then every prayer I pray in that manner will be a guaranteed YES from GOD.
Scripture / Prophetic Word + Fervent Prayer = Answer
The secret of answered prayer is to find out how heaven is moving and line up with heaven.
Discover what the thoughts of God are for the circumstance and then pray with every thing that is in you.
Scripture is clear, God does not keep silent on our prayers. God does not answer no, maybe or later. God answers yes every time.
Daniel prayed and it seemed as though there was no answer and the heavens where closed.
After a few days he had the Word of the Lord, that the day he started to pray the Lord had heard him.
There are occasions when the heavens are closed and the Face of the Lord is turned away from the prayer of His people. Isaiah 59; 2 says “your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His Face from you”.
If you pray His will, then God will hear your prayers and your answer is YES!
If our prayers are not answered, then God never heard them.
This Key of finding the thoughts of God about the prayer request is one of the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. As soon as you have this key of heaven, the door that was locked tight can be opened. It is amazing how little truths can unlock big answers.
On having the key for prayer request, I than pray a similar prayer “Father God you know that I know, that you know, the promise of Your Word. This is what You have told me about the circumstance. Now according to Your Word I remind You of Your promise. Your promise says …”
The Word of God says that we are called to remind the Lord of His promise.
REMIND THE LORD. Isaiah 62:6-7 “I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.” And another translation says;
We are called to be vigilant, and to continually come before God, making our requests known to Him. Paul writes in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 that we are to pray continually. That is to pray without ceasing. Most people battle to pray for a few minutes. Even the disciples of Jesus fell asleep while Jesus prayed. They could not even hold on for one hour. We must understand that it is impossible to talk without ceasing. (Some people can talk a lot and others even more than a lot.) What Paul is actually saying here is that when we pray should not babble like pagans and heap up empty phrases as the gentiles do. The Living translation says we should not pray the same prayer over like the heathen do: Matthew 6:7 (TLB) “Don’t recite the same prayer over and over as the heathen do, who thinks prayers are answered only by repeating them again and again. Remember, your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask Him.” PUSH
Push through with prayer, until something happens.
P = Pra y
U = Until
S = Something
H = Happens
Never give up – never slow down – this is the place where you must stake your ground.
Pray scripture and speak the Word of God that applies to the situation.
Take hold of it – stand on it – pray on it.
Remind the Lord of His Word and argue with God over the issue.
Pray something on these lines – E.g. Lord you said “if I ask anything according to your will you will grant it to me. Here it is, and I am reminding you …”
Isaiah 43:26 “Review the past for me, let us argue the matter together, state the case for your innocence.”
When you come to God in prayer, have a case to present to God. Do not waste time in prayer and do not babble your prayers like the heathen.
Remember; it’s not how much you pray,
it’s how accurate you pray.
A key on successfully answered prayer is to follow a God given pattern. Jesus says in Matthew 18:19, 20 “Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
I remember a while ago I used an illustration in the power of positive agreement. The only problem I faced was that the illustration backfired on me. During a prayer teaching at a local church in South Africa – I read the above scripture and asked for two volunteers to pray with me. Quickly two intercessors of the church ran forward to agree in a prayer with me. I did not let them know what I was praying for, but called out to God to grant the need and give answer to the prayer request. These prayer ladies joined in whole heartily, until I made the request known. The request was ‘ the big red Mercedes parked outside – oh Lord give me that car now’. At that point the one intercessor shouted out ‘hey – that’s my car’. I had no idea it was her car. My point was clear – it is easy to manipulate others to pray what you want them to agree on. I am sure that most unanswered prayers are because we are not praying the prayer of Heaven, and there are hidden agendas in the prayer.
The guarantee of praying Heavens prayer and having your request made known to God is to find to prayer partners that are true intercessors. Those two dear ladies are true intercessors. But, sometimes-precious people like that are not always available.
There is the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ who we can count on.
They are your personal intercessors.
Jud 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.
You are called to pray all the time and ask God for anything in line with the Holy Spirit’s wishes. You are called to plead with Him, reminding Him of your needs, and keep praying earnestly for all Christians everywhere.
Ephesians 6:18 “Pray all the time. Ask God for anything in line with the Holy Spirit’s wishes. Plead with him, reminding him of your needs, and keep praying earnestly for all Christians everywhere.”
Jesus makes intercession for us;
Hebrews7:25 “He always lives to make intercession for them.”
Pray the same prayer the Holy Spirit
and Jesus are praying,
then the Father will answer.
